A pandemic show devoted to capturing “the spirit of New York,” curated by Chris Boot, Aperture’s executive director. Welcome Mat, my doormat filled with sprouting acorns, was one of the 83 photographs selected from 1,200 submissions that flew on a flag at Rockefeller Center and is now in the collection of the Rockefeller Center Flag Project.
